Consumers often trust professional-appearing sites which is why counterfeit prescription drugs are an increasingly sophisticated threat. The Federal Drug Administration (FDA), along with other organizations such as the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), Health Distribution Management Associate (HDMA), National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) and state agencies are actively working to reduce the threat of counterfeiting.
